SMS Sanitary Union
KINGMAN SMS Sanitary Union is manufactured to SMS sanitary fitting standards, made of SS304/SS316L stainless steel and compatible with mainstream SMS pipeline systems for dairy and food processing industries. The full assembly consists of male body, Liner and round nut, serving as detachable pipe connectors dedicated for food hygienic production lines. The inner bore is hygienically polished with rounded flow transition to facilitate fluid flow and CIP cleaning. Dimensions and sealing profiles strictly comply with SMS specifications for direct connection with SMS pipes and matched fittings of the same size. Widely adopted in dairy, fruit juice, beer and other food production lines, it supports segmented pipeline disassembly, quick equipment removal and regular sanitary maintenance on site.

Working Principle
The SMS sanitary union relies on axial compression generated when the round nut advances along the threaded body to achieve face sealing. During assembly, place the sanitary gasket between flat ferrule and threaded body. Rotate the round nut to compress the gasket, enabling uniform contact between gasket and both sealing faces and forming a tight barrier against medium leakage and external contamination ingress. Process media flows through continuous smooth inner bore. Rounded flow path minimizes vortex and allows full coverage of inner wall by CIP cleaning liquid for residue removal. This structure absorbs pressure surges caused by start-stop cycles of food pipelines and reduces instantaneous impact damage on sealing surfaces. When cleaning or equipment removal is required, loosening the round nut quickly separates pipeline segments for sanitation or component replacement, meeting maintenance requirements of SMS food hygienic systems.
