    Product Introduction

The KINGMAN sanitary butterfly valve is a compact, quarter-turn flow-control device used to start, stop or throttle the flow of liquid media within stainless steel process pipework. Its wafer-style body and center-positioned disc give it a short face-to-face dimension, making it easy to integrate into space-constrained skids and manifolds. Built to 3A, SMS, DIN, ISO and BS connection standards, the valve delivers a hygienic, low-dead-space flow path that supports clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) routines. With an operating window of -10 °C to +120 °C, full-vacuum capability and pressure ratings up to 10 Bar, it handles the demanding duty cycles typical of dairy, beverage, brewing, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and fine-chemical production. The valve can be manually operated with a multi-position locking handle for isolation duty, or automated with a pneumatic actuator for remote and repeatable control, helping process engineers standardize a single valve platform across an entire line.

    Features

    • Forged/precision-cast 304/316L stainless steel body and disc for excellent corrosion resistance and hygienic durability; higher alloys (AL6XN, Hastelloy, Alloy 22) available for aggressive media.
    • Crevice-free sanitary structure with a smooth, self-draining flow path that supports CIP/SIP and prevents product entrapment.
    • EPDM seat as standard, with PTFE, FKM or silicone options to match specific temperature, chemical-compatibility and regulatory needs.
    • Full-vacuum to 10 Bar rating across the DN15–DN150 range, covering the pressure envelope of most clean-process lines.
    • Multi-position locking handle secures the disc in full-open, intermediate and closed positions for safe, repeatable manual isolation.
    • Pneumatic actuation option for remote and automated on/off control in integrated process systems.
    • High-cleanliness surface finish down to Ra ≤ 0.38 µm (electropolished), reducing surface adhesion and easing cleaning validation.
    • Compliant with 3A, SMS, DIN, ISO and BS standards, supporting acceptance in North American, European, Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern projects.

    Working Principle

The valve controls flow through a disc mounted on a central stem that pivots 90° within the body. In the closed position the disc seats fully against the elastomer seal ring, forming a tight, bubble-tight shut-off; as the stem rotates the disc turns edge-on to the flow, opening a low-resistance path through the pipe. In manual versions, turning the handle rotates the stem and locks the disc at the selected open, throttling or closed position. In automated versions, a pneumatic actuator converts the linear travel of an internal piston into a 90° rotation of the stem; actuation torque rises as the disc edge engages the seal ring, ensuring a secure, leak-tight close.

    Product Structure

The valve consists of a wafer-style valve body, a central disc (the flow-control member), a stem that transmits torque to the disc, and a replaceable elastomer seat/seal that provides the sealing surface. The top of the stem connects to either a multi-position locking handle or a pneumatic actuator via a standardized mounting interface, while the process ends terminate in the specified connection type (Tri-Clamp, weld, thread or flange). Because the seat and actuation components are modular and field-replaceable, seals can be renewed and manual units upgraded to automated operation without replacing the entire valve, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime.

    Why Choose KINGMAN

    Manufacturing

KINGMAN produces this valve in-house from blank to finished part. Blanks are made using integrated forging-grade precision casting, and finishing is performed on Japanese MAZAK CNC lathes (48 CNC lathes plus 10 machining centers), yielding dimensional accuracy and surface finish that improve on comparable products. A 5,000 m² facility with automated polishing lines supports a daily valve output of around 2,000 units and standard lead times of roughly 15–25 days, with sample turnaround available on urgent projects.

    Quality Control

Every batch passes a full-chain inspection routine — material spectral analysis, air-tightness testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, surface-finish/cleanliness checks and dimensional verification — before shipment. Products are manufactured under an ISO 9001 quality system and to 3A hygienic standards, with in-house laboratory testing ensuring consistent performance and traceability from raw material to finished valve.

    OEM & Customization

Beyond standard stock items, KINGMAN supports drawing-based customization, non-standard sizes, private-label/OEM branding, and a choice of seal materials, surface finishes, connection standards and manual or pneumatic operation. Sample and small-batch orders are welcome, and the engineering team can advise on material selection and configuration to match your specific process conditions.

    FAQ

Standard construction is 304 or 316L stainless steel. For more aggressive or high-purity media, we can supply AL6XN, Hastelloy or Alloy 22 on request.

EPDM is our standard seat and suits most food, dairy and general clean-water applications within -10 °C to +120 °C. PTFE, FKM (Viton) or silicone can be supplied where chemical compatibility, higher temperature or specific regulatory approval is required — tell us your media and process conditions and we will recommend the best option.

With an EPDM seal it withstands full vacuum on the low side and up to 1000 kPa (10 Bar) for DN15–DN100, or 800 kPa (8 Bar) for DN125–DN150.

Yes. The crevice-free sanitary flow path and high-cleanliness surface finish (down to Ra ≤ 0.38 µm electropolished) are designed for clean-in-place and steam-in-place routines, minimizing product entrapment and easing cleaning validation.

It is available with a manual locking handle or a pneumatic actuator. Thanks to the standardized mounting interface, a manual valve can be upgraded to pneumatic operation in the field without replacing the valve body.

We manufacture to 3A, SMS, DIN, ISO and BS standards under an ISO 9001 system and can supply relevant documentation. Tri-Clamp, weld, threaded and flange connections are available — please confirm your required standard and size when ordering.
