Sanitary Welded Manual Diaphragm Valve
KINGMAN supplies sanitary welded manual diaphragm valves. It adopts one-piece butt-welded connection. The valve body is precision cast from 316L stainless steel with mirror-polished inner surface and no stagnant dead corners. Manual regulation is realized via handwheel. The diaphragm fully isolates the medium from transmission components to eliminate packing leakage risks, compatible with CIP/SIP cleaning and sterilization. Welded ends guarantee the integrity of the pipeline system without crevices on clamps for dirt accumulation, ideal for long-cycle sterile pipelines for high-purity fluids in pharmaceutical and biotech industries. EPDM or TFM diaphragms are available with single or double diaphragm configurations to meet stringent clean production requirements.

Diaphragm
Different from the traditional diaphragm valve body, the aseptic diaphragm valve body has a sealing protrusion that tightly snaps on the inner diameter, which can reduce the annular gap between the diaphragm and the valve body. This feature of the diaphragm valve makes it particularly suitable for aseptic processe.
Diaphragm Material
Diaphragms are available in EPDM rubber and TFM rubber, with single and double diaphragms optional. The dual diaphragm design allows the two diaphragms to operate independently, which reduces tension caused by different thermal properties. Each application has different operating conditions and therefore different requirements for the diaphragm. To select the diaphragm that is best for you, consider the following factors: operating pressure, application temperature, process fluid. EPDM can be suitable for most application conditions, and some high-temperature conditions require the use of TFM material diaphragms.

Working Principle
Sanitary Welded Manual Diaphragm Valve: By rotating the handwheel, the internal spindle moves up or down to precisely control the flexible diaphragm. When the spindle moves downward, it pushes the diaphragm and presses it tightly against the weir inside the valve body to block the flow passage and shut off the medium flow completely. When the spindle moves upward, the diaphragm rebounds and lifts away from the weir, fully opening the flow path to allow smooth medium passage. The flexible diaphragm acts as a complete isolation barrier, separating the process medium from all of the valve’s upper mechanical components including spindle, threads and driving parts. This physical isolation prevents cross-contamination and avoids medium contact with metal moving parts. The butt-welded ends form a seamless hygienic pipeline connection after welding, eliminating gaps and dead zones at joints, and supporting thorough CIP online cleaning and SIP sterilization.
